OFC is searching for a dedicated and strategic Procurement Officer with strong organisational and analytical skills to join our team, based at the Home of Football, Te Kahu o’ Kiwa, in Auckland, New Zealand.

About the Role: 

As the Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Support the development of procurement and logistics strategies and operational plans
  • Provide advice on procurement processes and ensure all staff understand the importance of efficient procurement
  • Assist departments in budget development by providing cost analysis and market research
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers and maintain long-term relationships
  • Process procurement requests and ensure efficient procurement for tournaments, including flight tickets, accommodations, and equipment orders
  • Offer cost analysis to identify opportunities to reduce expenditure and enhance global spend operations
  • Oversee the coordination of logistics orders, including transport and delivery of shipments
  • Ensure timely and cost-efficient logistics to meet operational needs
  • Ensure procurement and logistics operations comply with OFC policies and procedures
  • Evaluate risks and develop action plans for mitigation
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to facilitate procurement and logistics operations

Skills and experience: 

  • A relevant bachelor’s level qualification in Logistics or a related field and/or 2 years relevant experience in logistics, preferably in a not-for-profit organisation
  • Understanding of procurement and knowledge of relevant related operational frameworks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
