We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement & Logistics Officer to join our team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for processing the procurement of goods and services for our organisation.

Your role will involve negotiating with suppliers and ensuring that all purchases meet quality standards and budget requirements.

Primarily you will be responsible for

  • Supporting the Procurement and Logistics Manager with Enhancing procurement and logistics frameworks and strategies to improve OFC operational performance, while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist with leading the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the acquisition of goods, materials, and services aligns with OFC’s operational needs, considering price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Coordinating logistics for goods and services, including but not limited to flight tickets, hotel bookings, and equipment orders, to support OFC activities and events efficiently.
  • Conducting comprehensive cost analysis and market pricing research to support budget development across various departments, aiming for cost reduction and efficiency.
  • Evaluating and proposing enhancements to operations in local and global spend, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining robust stakeholder relationships, working collaboratively to negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with procurement and logistics plans.

Skills and experience

You will ideally possess:

  • 3+ years of experience working in procurement.
  • Preferably have a tertiary education e.g. Logistics, Business Administration or Finance)
  • Understanding of procurement and knowledge of relevant related operational frameworks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Have competent computer skills (e.g.) MS Office.
