About the role:
As Media and Communications Officer – Competitions, you will be responsible for:
- Source and produce stories on OFC and Member Association activities.
- Create and distribute media releases, internal publications, and social media content.
- Develop and implement the football competitions communication strategy and align it with the overall OFC Communications Strategy.
- Manage media accreditation and content production for OFC’s digital platforms.
- Assist with logistics such as procurement requests for tournament travel, accommodation, and media equipment.
- Coordinate media operations on event and non-event days, including media relations, accreditation, and broadcast content.
- Work closely with OFC departments to keep digital content up-to-date.
- Assist with media activities across various departments, ensuring adherence to OFC branding guidelines.
Core Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills with experience in media and communications, particularly in sports or similar fields.
- Strong organisational abilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners includingMember Associations, media, TV, marketing teams, and more.
- A keen interest in football and knowledge of the sport is an advantage.
- Videography and photo editing skills.
- Relevant qualifications in media, communications, or related fields.
- Previous experience in a media or communications role, ideally within the sports sector.
- Eligible to work in New Zealand.
- Current passport with the ability to travel within the Oceania region.
