About the role:

As Media and Communications Officer – Competitions, you will be responsible for:

  • Source and produce stories on OFC and Member Association activities.
  • Create and distribute media releases, internal publications, and social media content. 
  • Develop and implement the football competitions communication strategy and align it with the overall OFC Communications Strategy.
  • Manage media accreditation and content production for OFC’s digital platforms. 
  • Assist with logistics such as procurement requests for tournament travel, accommodation, and media equipment.
  • Coordinate media operations on event and non-event days, including media relations, accreditation, and broadcast content. 
  • Work closely with OFC departments to keep digital content up-to-date.
  • Assist with media activities across various departments, ensuring adherence to OFC branding guidelines. 

Core Competencies: 

  • Excellent communication skills with experience in media and communications, particularly in sports or similar fields. 
  • Strong organisational abilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners includingMember Associations, media, TV, marketing teams, and more. 
  • A keen interest in football and knowledge of the sport is an advantage. 
  • Videography and photo editing skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in media, communications, or related fields. 
  • Previous experience in a media or communications role, ideally within the sports sector. 
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand.
  • Current passport with the ability to travel within the Oceania region.
