About the role:

As Head of MA Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, managing, and developing the MA Services team, fostering a high-performing culture aligned with OFC’s core values and strategic framework.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring the OFC MA Services strategy and annual operational plans to enhance services to Member Associations.
  • Overseeing the MA Services budget, ensuring optimisation and alignment with strategic objectives, while providing management reports and performance data.
  • Designing, managing, and successfully delivering innovative capacity-building programs in football management, governance, operations, and leadership, ensuring a Member Association-centric approach. These initiatives will drive professionalisation, enhance corporate governance, and improve football management across the region.
  • Ensuring compliance with OFC policies, financial regulations, and partner requirements in the delivery of OFC MA Services programmes.
  • Maintaining strong internal and external relationships (including regional and international football stakeholders – FIFA, Confederations, member associations).

Core Competencies:

  • Proven experience in leading, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience in designing, managing, and evaluating capacity-building and development programs, particularly in football management and corporate governance with a focus on delivering impactful results.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage networks of experts in football or sports leadership, corporate management, and operations.
  • A strong understanding of Member Associations’ structures and operations, as well as regional and international football structures (e.g., FIFA, Confederations).
  • Experience in managing funding programs for stakeholders, including risk management and financial controls.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally respecting diversity and understanding the needs of others.
  • Solid planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in preparing clear and concise reports and the ability to relate to diverse audiences.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and French.
  • A tertiary qualification at a Master’s level in Football Management and Governance or equivalent qualifications and/or at least five years’ experience in football management and Members Association.
