About the role:

As the Head of Football Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Implement and report on OFC Football Development programmes, ensuring alignment with the OFC Football Development Strategic Plan (2019-2026). Coordinate programmes across women’s football, futsal, and beach soccer. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Member Associations, FIFA, and other regional bodies. Assist in sourcing technical resources and materials for stakeholders across Oceania. 
  • Lead the Football Development department and supervise a talented team, including Player Development Officers, Women’s Football Development Officers, Futsal/Beach Soccer Officers, and consultants. Ensure team success and department cohesion.
  • Oversee the progression of coaches and players through development pathways. Ensure proper registration in OFC systems and facilitate professional development opportunities. 
  • Provide detailed reports to the OFC Chief of Football on activities, including future plans, challenges, and required actions. Handle PR and media communications as required.
  • Stay up to date on the latest developments in football coaching and player development through workshops, publications, and networking.

  • Football coaching qualifications (A License (or equivalent) or tertiary qualifications in a relevant field. 
  • Practical experience in football playing and coaching, with a strong understanding of FIFA, OFC, and regional football structures.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and French.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and relevant computer tools.
