Tahiti have gained six places (153) in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking, after their impressive performance in the latest round of FIFA World Cup 26™ Oceania Qualifiers.

Samuel Garcia’s side secured victories over Samoa in Hamilton and Vanuatu in Auckland to advance from Group B and set-up a semi-final clash with New Caledonia in March.

New Caledonia are the next biggest ranking winners, up three places to 152, thanks to a 3-2 win over Solomon Islands and a 1-1 draw with Fiji in Port Moresby.

New Zealand – winners of Group B – remain the highest ranked nation in OFC, gaining two places to sit in 89th position.

Samoa (192) and Vanuatu (163) see the biggest slide, both losing six places as their FIFA World Cup 26™ qualification dreams ended at the group stage.

Elsewhere, there are one place gains for American Samoa (188) and Cook Islands (190), with one place losses for Fiji (147), Solomon Islands (148) and Papua New Guinea (172). Tonga remain in place at 199.
