The Federation Football Samoa (FFS) held their final OFC Women’s Football Capacity Building Workshop for the year in Savai’i earlier this month.
Twenty administrators and players came together for the three-day workshop that focused on leadership and management development, with guest speakers including FFS CEO Autū Andy Ripley.
A festival was held at the conclusion of the workshop where the participants were able to apply the skills they learned in a practical environment.
FFS Women’s Football Development Officer Angela Pauga, who led the event, said there was a lot of confidence shown throughout the workshop.
“I was impressed with how the women engaged with the activities and I enjoyed listening to them share their experiences,” Pauga said.
“This initiative aims to encourage the participation of girls and women in football and I believe we’ve continued to build on this from our first workshop in March.”
