The tournament was hosted by Samoa and contested between eight nations.
New Zealand claimed their maiden OFC U-20 Women’s Championship title with a 6-0 victory over Tonga in the final in Apia.
New Zealand ventured to Russia for Group A matches against Brazil, hosts Russia and Australia at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Championship.
After a 3-0 defeat to their Trans-Tasman rivals, the New Zealanders impressed in a narrow 3-2 defeat against the hosts before drawing 0-0 with Brazil in their final group game.
