The ninth edition of the OFC U-19 Women’s Championship took place in 2019 and doubled as qualification for the 2020 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup™ in Costa Rica and Panama.

The tournament was hosted by the Cook Islands, with all matches played at the CIFA Academy Stadium in Rarotonga, and was contested between eleven nations.

New Zealand breezed past Vanuatu 11-0 in the semi-finals while New Caledonia defeated Tahiti on penalties to reach the Championship decider.

Two goals from Gabi Rennie propelled New Zealand to a 5-2 victory over New Caledonia in the final, securing their seventh consecutive OFC U-19 Women’s Championship title.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in 2020 was cancelled.
