OFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2004
The second edition of the OFC U-19 Women’s Championship took place in 2004 and doubled as qualification for the 2004 FIFA U-19 Women’s World Championship™ in China.
The tournament was hosted by Papua New Guinea, with all matches played at the Lloyd Robson Stadium in Port Moresby, and was contested by just three nations. Australia emerged victorious to secure their second consecutive OFC U-19 Women’s Championship title, winning both of their matches by over ten goals.
A 5-0 victory over Thailand enabled Australia to progress to the quarter-finals of the 2004 FIFA U-19 Women’s Championship™ in China as one of the best third-placed sides, but they couldn’t go any further with a 0-2 defeat to the USA in the last eight.
