OFC Futsal referees Antony Riley and Chris Sinclair have been given the opportunity to officiate in the Argentina Futsal National Championship.
The experienced OFC officials were invited by the AFA last week after impressing during last month’s OFC Futsal Men’s Champions League where two Argentine referees officiated.
Both Riley and Sinclair are hoping to be selected to officiate at the FIFA Men’s Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan in September-October this year.
“This opportunity to referee matches in the Argentina Futsal Primera division is excellent preparation for Chris and me ahead of potential selection to officiate at the World Cup.” Riley said.
“Officiating competitive matches with unfamiliar players, teams and stadiums enables each of us to remain at the top of our game and we greatly appreciate the support of Argentina Football Association, New Zealand Football and Oceania Football Confederation for enabling this to happen,” he added.
