OFC Futsal Championship 2010

The seventh edition of the OFC Futsal Championship took place in 2010 and was hosted by Fiji for the third consecutive time. Hosts Fiji were joined by two-time defending champions the Solomon Islands, New Zealand, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Tahiti, and Tuvalu, with all seven nations playing each other in a round-robin format.

Both Fiji and the Solomon Islands started the tournament brightly, winning each of their first three games. The hosts hit a roadblock when they suffered a 6-4 defeat to New Zealand, but they would remain in the title race if they upset the Solomon Islands on match day four. It would again prove the defining fixture of the tournament, with two goals each from Jack Wetney and Elliott Ragamo inflicting deja-vu on Fiji from the 2009 final, and securing a 7-3 victory for the Solomon Islands.

A massive 21-2 win over Tuvalu in their final match sparked the title-winning celebrations for the Solomon Islands, claiming their third consecutive continental title. Fiji finished in second, whilst New Zealand accumulated the same points but settled for third due to an inferior goal difference.
