The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is greatly saddened to learn of the untimely passing of Alain Alick, who served as Referee Development Officer for the Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF), on April 10.
Mr. Alick was a long-serving member of the VFF team and played a key role in the development of refereeing in Vanuatu, helping to improve standards and identify the next generation of talented match officials.
He also served for many years as a referee for the Luganville Football Association, becoming one of the region’s most respected match officials.
OFC would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to Mr. Alick’s family, his colleagues at the VFF and to the wider Vanuatu football community, of which he was a key member.
