Vanuatu’s two OFC Champions League 2018 side Nalkutan FC and Erakor Golden Star played off for the Vanuatu National Super League title on Saturday with a lone second half goal all that separated the two sides at the final whistle.
The first half was an exciting affair as the teams applied pressure on their opponent hoping to force an error which they could capitalise on.
Nothing was forthcoming for either side in the first 45 minutes. After the break the outlook changed when Zika Manuhi scored midway through the second half, netting what proved to be the winner.
Victory means Nalkutan is seeded as Vanuatu 1 for their OFC Champions League debut next year, while second-timers Erakor will be Vanuatu 2.
