Youngsters have been putting their best foot forward on the sands of Tahiti as part of the inaugural Fédération Tahitienne de Football (FTF) beach soccer festivals.
The festivals saw players from local clubs, aged five to 18 years, play a series of beach soccer matches across four locations in Paofai, Papara, Aorai and Tinihau.
The events were facilitated by the FTF technical department, which is led by David Chang Koei Chang and Jerome Beaulande.
Beaulande said the initiative is important for the growth and development of beach soccer in Tahiti.
“It’s the first time we’ve put beach soccer festivals together for every age group in Tahitian football and it’s a big step for the federation,” Beaulande said.
“I’m really happy with the outcome so far and the support we have received from FTF to make it happen.”
