The New Zealand men’s and women’s teams have found out their group stage opponents for the Olympic men’s and women’s football tournaments to be played in Paris in July and August.

FIFA has conducted the draw for the tournaments in the French capital this morning.

Darren Bazeley’s U-23 New Zealand’s men’s side won the men’s Olympic Football Tournament – Oceania Qualifier in New Zealand last September.

They have been drawn in Group A alongside host nation France, the USA and the winner of a playoff between the 4th placed Asian U-23 side and African side, Guinea.

Jitka Klimkova’s Football Ferns qualified for the Olympic showpiece by winning the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament – Oceania Qualifier in Samoa last month in Samoa.

They have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts France, Colombia and Canada.

The Paris Summer Olympics takes place from the 26th of July to the 11th of August.
