Ba football is experiencing a revival of the best kind with the side taking out the Vodafone Premier League season with their unbeaten record intact.
The Ronil Kumar and Shalen Lal-coached side topped the league with 36 points after recording 11 wins and three draws across their 14 matches.
Their final match saw them see off 2018 OFC Champions League finalists Lautoka 3-0 at the Fiji FA Academy ground in Ba.
Lal said it was a good feeling to end the national league on a high note.
“This season, we tried to give a break to our young players and the senior players played a vital role in making this happen.
“Both young and senior players gelled well and I could see the seniors were guiding the young ones all the time,” he said.
Lal said the celebrations won’t last too long as they have to start preparing for the upcoming Courts Inter-District Championship in Nadi next month.
“Our focus has already shifted to IDC as we have a tough pool with the likes of Lautoka, Labasa and Tavua.”
With 36 points, Ba have earned their place in next year’s OFC Champions League and will be joined by Lautoka who finished second in the league with 28 points.
