In a return to the competition format of two years ago, the S-League will open with a two-round league, which will identify the Solomon Islands’ Champions League representative.
Following the league, the championship series will return for more football action.
Nine clubs are to be featured in the 2014-15 season courtesy of the readmission of Marist Football Club to the competition. Marist was dropped in the 2013 season after failing to pay their registration fees.
The Telekom S-League board postponed the league start in August with a new date of Saturday 6 September proposed.
The reasoning behind this decision was largely to do with the Lawson Tama pitch which required repairs following a combination of the impact of flooding and the Honiara football league.
This decision gave clubs more time to finalise their final 25-man squads and several have included friendly matches against local competition as they gear up for the kick-off of the premier club competition in Solomon Islands.
