Florian, who celebrated his 28th birthday on Monday, joined the federation this month and will work with competitions manager Robert Calvo to organise all tournaments and leagues for football, futsal and beach soccer in Vanuatu.
He is a fresh face within the Vanuatu football family and met with all the other staff on Monday morning at VFF headquarters in Port Vila.
He is not unfamiliar with the world’s most popular game, however, having worked as a volunteer for the Fédération Caledonienne de Football for two months. He was also a member of the AS Mont-Dore squad and played as a striker for the club in the New Caledonia second division for two years.
His education includes studying business for four years at Nouville University in New Caledonia.
Florian feels privileged to have become a staff member at the federation and is pleased to be expanding his career into the development of football in the islands.
“I am very happy to work for football in Vanuatu,” he says. “I think it is the right move for me to work at VFF because I am sure that I can continue my dreams here.”
VFF chief executive Fabien Hoeppe is delighted to have Florian on board.
“It is with great pleasure that I welcome him as a new employee,” Hoeppe says.
“I am very pleased that he has chosen to accept our offer of employment and know that this is the beginning of his dream with Vanuatu football.”
