The 25-year-old is excited about the upcoming move and the opportunity to continue improving on her already impressive form.
“Notts County seems like a really good club, with a great set-up and providing a professional environment which will definitely help to further improve my game,” Hoyle says.
“It’s exciting to be given this opportunity and I look forward to what will hopefully be a great season.”
For their part the club is equally enthusiastic about the addition of the midfielder who has added 79 international caps to her name since making her debut for the national side in 2006 against China.
“Katie is a true professional and has really established herself in the New Zealand team, which is a true representation of her credentials,” Notts County Ladies manager Rick Passmoor says of his new signing.
“She’s having a great season over at Melbourne, who are a great team, and are showing that at the moment, flying high in the Australian league.”
Hoyle has played a key role in the Victory’s season so far and her form saw her named the W-League Player of the Week following the side’s crucial 2-1 win over Canberra United on Sunday.
She says the team’s first win of the season against one of the other top three teams provides a welcome confidence boost as the finals draw closer.
“We knew coming in Canberra are a really tough team and that it would be close. Our team works with a game by game focus and any win is good for confidence and team morale,” Hoyle says.
She says she is really enjoying her first season in Australia and believes the team’s success comes down to being a tight-knit group as well as performance.
“I’m a big believer that if your team gets on well off the field, it helps on the field. We are a tight unit, have a tight bond and it helps us work hard for each other.
“I believe in the team but our team view is that we take one game at a time. If everyone puts in a good performance on the day then the team has what it takes to win the league,” she says of Victory’s prospects.
Hoyle will play out the remainder of the 2013/14 W-League season before heading to England to join her new side, subject to international clearance.
