Both clubs have made glamour signings in the off-season with Brazilian ace Adriano Pimenta joining Waitakere United and former Barcelona defender Xavi Roca joining Auckland City FC.
Both clubs have been busy recruiting Oceanian stars – Solomon Islands duo Alick Maemae and Nelson Sale join the Kiwitea Street revolution while Benjamin Totori returns from his American adventure with Portland Timbers to rejoin Chris Milicich’s squad for the 2008/09 season.
