LOSSI EARNS FAVOURITES TAG

NOUMEA – AS Lossi handed AS Mouli Sport a 7-2 thrashing to confirm its favourites tag for this season’s edition of the Super Ligue Challenge Cup. With AS Magenta winning a close match against arch rivals AS Mont Dore, 2-1, it sets up a South Pool showdown between Lossi and Magenta for a final spot against the winner of the North Pool.

Hienghène Sport is expected to win the North Pool comfortably following the controversy over AS Téméla Ouélisse no-show last week with JS Baco already defeated. If Hienghène Sport can defeat AS Thio Sport the outcome of the group will be academic with the islanders from the north set for a mainland showdown against Magenta or Lossi.
