Oceania Football Confederation is looking for volunteers to take part in the upcoming OFC U-17 Championship New Zealand 2009 to be held at North Harbour Stadium from 20 – 24 April, 2009. 

The competition, which includes New Caledonia, New Zealand, Tahiti and Vanuatu, will be  played in a round robin format with the winner representing OFC at the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2009. Match Days are scheduled for 20, 22, and 24 April.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

– Stewards [x4]

– Stretcher Bearers [x8] [must be able to lift at least 25kg]

– Drivers [x2] [must have full drivers licence]

Volunteers for the above roles would need to be available from 11:30am – 17:30pm on 20, 22 and 24 April.

In addition, OFC requires Team Liaison Officers for the following teams;

– Tahiti [x1] [must speak English and French]

– New Caledonia [x1] [must speak English and French]

– Vanuatu [x1] [preferable to speak English, French and Pidgin English]

Volunteer Team Liaison Officers would need to be available from 18 – 25 April and provide their own transport. The role would involve assisting the team delegation while they are in New Zealand.
