The website, available at www.fijifootball.com.fj , contains all the latest news, photographs, profiles, results and other information relating to football in the nation.
Fiji FA chief executive Bob Kumar says its launch has been made possible only through the support of OFC.
“OFC has developed the new Fiji FA website at no cost to us,” Kumar says.
“We are grateful because the new site is of a very high standard and will give us an opportunity to further promote football at all levels and, at the same time, keep the fans updated.”
Through OFC development funding, each Member Association will be able to create its own online space plus have the software tools to manage competitions, statistics, player records and other important data.

OFC General Secretary Tai Nicholas says it was important to develop an all-in-one system, now known as ‘O-Link’.

“It’s not just about new websites but also the whole framework that goes behind it,” Nicholas says.

“With this software, our members will be able to manage their competitions and track players, coaches and referees to see who exactly is involved in the sport. These statistics will provide valuable insight in terms of patterns and trends, enabling administrators to find out which groups they need to target.
“I would like to congratulate Fiji FA President Dr. MS Sahu Khan, chief executive Bob Kumar and media officer Moiz Munif for working with the OFC team on their new website.”
Kumar is delighted with the results of the hard work.
“Late last year we used the Sporting Pulse website as a means to upload information and the response was very good. We anticapte having an even better response to the new website.”
The site is developed by New Zealand-based company StayinFront (Asia-Pacific) Ltd and follows a similar design to the OFC website.
Fiji FA is the fifth association to have its website re-vamped with the changes coming hot on the heels of those at the Samoa Football Federation (www.footballsamoa.ws) the Cook Islands Football Association (www.cookislandsfootball.com) the Football Federation American Samoa (www.ffas.as) and the Tonga Football Association (www.tongafootball.to) who unveiled their new sites in June, March and August respectively.
The Solomon Islands Football Federation is next on the list and its website will be unveiled this month.
The plan is for all OFC member associations to have a brand new website by 2011.
