PNGFA Competition manager Simon Koima confirmed all clubs have paid in their full nomination fee following the deadline on Saturday October 31.
Koima said the launching of the new season will be on the 17 November with the modelling of the uniforms and the kick-off is set to commence on the 21 November.
Hekari United is set to dominate the Southern Conference when retaining the bulk of its local players in David Muta, Emmanuel Simon, Tommy Semmy with the three international players from Vanuatu and a lone Fijian.
Apart from Hekari, FC Port Moresby looks good on paper as the second strongest team.
The Robert Popat-coached team has recruited well, with some big names such as Jamal Seeto, Gary Moka running in Lion Hearts’ uniform which should give them the edge on the offensive play.
PS Huawei looks to have more experienced players than other teams but need to recruit some young blood to keep with the pace of the competition.
The Posman Kua Aisi Lawyers sponsored Rapatona FC has signed players from Admiralty FC.
With the inclusion of prolific goal scorer Patrick Aisa, the Manus team will be the team to watch.
Like Rapatona, another new kid on the block Gigira Laitepo United FC will not be out to just make numbers, but will be counted.
The team from Gulf province under the watchful eyes of former PNG striker and Women’s national coach, Steven Mune, is another to watch.
Literally unknown to soccer fraternity, the Erema FC is the surprise package of this year’s competition.
