School teachers and club coaches around the island of Pentecost have recently formed two important committees that will over see the programs of both futsal and the Together Kids program in the island.

These two new committees were formed with the help of an instructor from the Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) Marcellino Barthelemy who toured their island in the past weeks as part of the together kids training program.

The new committees also had the chance to receive new balls as support from VFF which Mr. Barthelemy presented to each of the newly setup committee.

The Pentecost Futsal Committee members are Simon Bule as Chairman, Jason Bule Vice Chairman, Arsen as Secretary; Anthony vice secretary, Treasurer is Oscar with his vice Visesio and Josepho, and Nicolas Tadou as members.

The Together Kids committee is chaired by Willie Leo who represents the Penama Football Association, Vice Chairman is Jason Bule from South Pentecost, with members Mark Liu from Central Pentecost 1, Robert from Central Pentecost 2 and Hubert Tevi from North Pentecost.

VFF would like to thank the new committee members for their willingness to support both the futsal and together kids program in the island of Pentecost and Penama province as a whole.

The committee will ensure that all programs in future will be carried out smoothly in their communities as a way of developing sports in the island.

VFF’s Mr. Barthelemy reported to Daily Sports that having such committees setup in Pentecost is a bonus for the communities around there as they already have sporting facilities to continue on with their together kids training programs including futsal games.

“Pentecost currently have three courts as training venues so there is no problem with facilities and so we set up committees to kick start the program and so we gave them some balls to begin with,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Barthelemy will continue with his tour to Malekula, Epi and Tanna starting this week.
