The 21-year-old New Zealander left A-League side Melbourne Victory on a free transfer in April after being voted the league’s Player of the Year, having scored 15 goals during the 2012/13 season.
Having been named in the starting line-up for the pre-season match, Rojas helped put his side 4-0 up ahead of the half-time break in a match which Stuttgart went on to win 5-0.
“That was a nice run out, our finishing was missing and we didn’t score enough goals, but all in all it was a nice friendly game,” Stuttgart coach Bruno Labbadia said.
Rojas has signed a contract with Stuttgart until 2017 and will be keen to cement his position in the starting line-up of the club which finished 12th in the 2012/13 Bundesliga.
Stuttgart play a friendly against Spanish side Valencia on 20 July before kicking off their Bundesliga campaign for another season at Mainz on Sunday, 11 August.
