The seminar will see TFA staff host all 25 of the registered clubs which have taken part in previous TFA tournaments and competitions, with the focus being the activities for the coming year.
TFA technical director Kilifi Uele will conduct the seminar and says it provides an important platform for discussions between the association and its stakeholders.
“First of all we will look at finalising the participating club for all the competitions that have been proposed for this year,” Uele explains.
“We have plans to increase the number of tournaments, but that will follow the TFA Major League which is due to kick-off at the end of the month.
“We are also looking at introducing the indoor five-a-side version of the game, futsal, this year.”
With plenty planned for the calendar, Uele says it is essential to have a productive conversation with the clubs in order to ensure the success of the year’s events.
“This will be a great opportunity to have a good discussion with the clubs to make sure they have a clear understanding of what is happening this year before the season kicks-off.”
TFA is expecting around 50 representatives to attend the seminar after sending out invitations to the officials of each football club in Tonga.
The TFA Club Seminar is being held today, Thursday 19 February at the Loto Tonga Soka Centre in ‘Atele.
