The 2011 O-League Group A leaders face Koloale in Honiara on Saturday and Bule will be a special guest within the Amicale entourage.
The Pentecost resident went into a draw to win the trip last year after buying an Amicale t-shirt at the Match Day Three clash with Koloale on December 4. The names of all the fans who purchased shirts went into the hat and Bule’s was the lucky one to be pulled out.
He was delighted to have won the competition and can’t wait to spend time with his footballing heroes.
“I was shocked when I heard I’d won,” he says.
“I’m a huge Amicale and football fan and was hoping to see some action soon, so to win an air ticket to fly to the Solomons for a big O-League game is fantastic.”
Bule was on hand to collect his ticket from Amicale vice-president Andrew Leong last week.
“It’s a dream come true for me and I’m really looking forward to flying with the champions,” he says.
Leong was pleased to see the prize go to such a suitable recipient and says Bule will be well looked after during the trip.
“We will pay for his air ticket, accomodation, food and transportation in Honiara for a week,” Leong says. “We will also give him a team jersey so he can support the side when they play Koloale.
“I want to wish him a safe flight to the Solomon Islands and hope he will enjoy Honiara and the beautiful game of football.”
Amicale are almost certain to finish at the top of Group A and qualify for the O-League final but a win on Saturday would remove all doubt and round off an impressive series of pool performances.
They will have to do it without star attacker Alick Maemae and defender Young Paul though, who are both suspended after being cautioned and sent off respectively in the last round against Lautoka, a game Amicale won 5-1 despite being down to ten men for much of the match.
