Marist re-established their lead on top of the HFA DJ League Premier Division table this week with a comprehensive 2-0 win over Rangers FC.
The win elevates Marist three points clear of nearest rivals Makuru and Kossa who both scored wins to keep the championship race exciting.
Makuru defeated Naha 3-1 while Kossa fought their way to a 3-2 victory over Hana FC.
At the other end of the table Sunbeam FC secured their first points of the competition by holding on to a 3-3 scoreline against K1 United FC, who sit one place above them on the table.
In one of the rounds most exciting matches Zome Mars United thrilled the fans on route to a 5-4 victory over bottom placed Laugu United.
Laugu had only managed three goals from their previous four games but burst into live in round five with a flurry of goals for both sides.
One goal a-piece saw Uncles FC and Koloale FC share the spoils and also fourth spot on the table, seperated only by goal difference.
Solomon Island internationl striker James Naka increased his tally to five goals from five games after this round and shares the golden boot lead with Marist FC Striker Nathan Kera.
