From the town of Mahina in Tahiti, Tetauira has grown up playing for the AS Jeunes Tahitiens, the youth team at Olympique Mahina.
In 2011 he was captain of the U-15 national side and has participated in trainings with the Toa Aito, the Tahiti national team, as they prepared for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Keen to make his passion for football a career, Tetauira would love to turn professional one day but is aware that it is a difficult path to follow from Tahiti.
However, with his two week stint in Christchurch having gone well, the future is looking bright for the up-and-coming talent.
