Fiji FA CEO Bob Kumar says a number of administrative issues have arisen which have made it impossible to keep to the scheduled start date for the competition.
“We will not start the season this Sunday because of a few administrative reasons that we need to sort out,” Kumar says.
“We will announce the new dates as soon as they have been finalised.”
The 2013/14 Fiji Football Association National Football League season was due to be officially opened at ANZ Stadium in Suva on Sunday.
Eight sides are taking part in the Super Premier division with only four matches likely to be played each weekend for the duration.
The winner of the Fiji National League will earn a place in the 2015 OFC Champions League.
