Sukhu had worthy running mates in Ravin Suwamy and Arvin Datt, but the former Fiji FA competitions manager edged out the pair.
Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel declared Sukhu’s success following the voting process and says he will hold the post for the next four years.
Patel says he has already received positive feedback from the districts’ representatives following the congress and the vice-presidential elections.
“The delegates were happy with the reports and the progress we are making. They supported it because of the unity among the districts and the Fiji FA officials,” Patel says.
“We are all united under our leadership, and that is what we have achieved over the two years.”
The two Western and Northern district Fiji FA vice presidents, Jitendra Kumar and Girja Prasad respectively, retained their posts and will hold those positions for the next four years as well.
Jumar has held the Western vice-president post for the past two seasons while Prasad replaced former vice-president Dewan Chand, serving out the remainder of his term.
