Vulivuli will represent the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) with fellow Oceania officials Jacqui Stephenson from New Zealand and Lata I Sia Tuifutuna from Tonga, who will both be assistant referees at the event.

Fiji Football Association (FFA) chief executive officer Bob Kumar says being asked to take part in the tournament is a major achievement for the Savusavu school teacher.

“This is a very good opportunity for Finau and at the same time great news for the FFA,” he says.
“Finau continues to progress in her young career and at the same time is promoting the country. We are proud that one of our referees will be part of the World Cup,” Kumar says.

FFA referees director Chandra Segran says Vulivuli is deserving of her place after doing well at a string of top tournaments in recent months.

“Her performance in the OFC U-20 championships was closely followed by the Algrave Cup in Portugal and she also officiated at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand last year,” he says.
“This will be a good experience for her and we hope that she does the country proud.”
