All media who wish to attend the O-League 1st Leg Final at Lawson Tama Stadium between Koloale FC and Auckland City FC on Saturday 25 April need to fill out an application form and return it to Oceania Football Confederation by Friday 17 April, 2009.

The match kicks off at 3:00pm local time.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The 2009 O-League Final will be played in a home-and-away format with the 1st Leg to be played in Honiara, Solomon Islands, on Saturday 25 April and the 2nd Leg to be played in Auckland, New Zealand, on Sunday 3 May.

Koloale FC and Auckland City FC are competing for the US$500,000 playoff spot at the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates, 9-19 December 2009.

In 2008, Solomon Island representatives Kossa FC played Waitakere United in the O-League Final with more than 20,000 fans turning out at Lawson Tama Stadium for the 1st Leg Final. Kossa beat Waitakere 3-1 on that occasion but lost 0-5 for the return match which meant the New Zealand representatives won 6-3 on aggregate and advanced to the FIFA Club World Cup.
