Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is pleased to announce the kickoff times and venues for the 2009 O-League Final to be played in a home-and-away format between Auckland City FC and Koloale FC.
Solomon Island club champions Koloale will host the 1st leg of the final on Saturday 25 April at Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara, while Auckland City’s Kiwitea Street will be the venue for the 2nd leg on Sunday 3 May.
Auckland won through to the final by beating Waitakere United 3-1 in Henderson on Sunday to finish top of Group A while Koloale FC earned their place ahead of Fiji’s Ba and Papua New Guinea’s Hekari Souths United FC as the Group B winners.
The 2009 O-League champion will secure the US$500,000 playoff spot at the FIFA Club World Cup scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates, 9-19 December 2009.
