The successful applicant will have at least 2 years journalism experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. However the attitude to learn is equally important. The position requires very strong communication, writing and editing ability. Knowledge of local and national media contacts is essential
Experience in Marketing will be an additional asset in order to be able to develop the federation “products” and channels to promote these.
This position also requires very strong organizational skills as you will be required to work to deadlines and have a number of projects on the go at once. A passion and knowledge for Football would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will require flexibility in his/her approach to the role and its requirements including working outside normal hours. It is also critical that the successful applicant is a team player who has a demonstrated ability to work well with others.
