The cyclone has been battering Samoa over the past 24 hours, causing damage and displacing a lot of the island’s residents with winds of up to 145km/h being recorded.
Cyclone Evan was yesterday upgraded to a category two and is expected to move across parts of Tonga tomorrow and intensify to a severe catagory three strength by the time it reaches Fiji on Sunday.
The league matches were to be held at Subrail Park in Labasa and Churchill Park in Lautoka.
The Fiji Football Association is yet to make a decision on whether the second leg of the 2012 Champions League between Ba and Suva will still take place on Sunday.
Fiji FA CEO Bob Kumar says at this point the clash will go ahead as scheduled at Govind Park from 4pm.
