In Samoa to present his credentials to His Royal Highness Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi, Gradilone also fit a meeting with FFS president Savae Togia Toetu Petana and CEO Sarai Bareman into his schedule.
Met by the jubilant smiles and laughter of local children from Vaitatele Primary School who were participating in a Just Play Festival to welcome him, Gradilone said he was very impressed with what he saw.
He said he was amazed with the development of football in Samoa, especially given its geographical distance from football powerhouses like Spain.
Gradilone said his compatriots would no doubt be very surprised and excited to learn that even a small country like Samoa is making plans to participate at a World Cup in the future.
He stated that he would love to see a team from his home country come to Samoa to play in the future, with the facilities in Samoa up-to-scratch, showing particular interest in the recently installed outdoor futsal court.
Bareman said the federation hopes to remain in contact with Gradilone to discuss development opportunities through football for the two countries.
