The trophy and medals received by the squad were just rewards for an undefeated season in which they dominated their opponents.
Solomon Islands Football Federation CEO Neil Poloso says the league, while short, was a success.
“This is just the beginning to boost football amongst our young women and girls in the country,” Poloso says.
He highlighted that teams should continue building on what they have learned this season as the next tournament is scheduled for April or May in 2014.
Rounding out the podium was Marist who beat Real Kakamora 2-0 in the third place play-off.
In the individual awards the Golden Boot went to Veronica Lolivaka of Marist FC for her 22 goal haul, while the player of the league was awarded to Real Kokamora FC’s Rose Payia.
