The group stage of the competition gets underway on Monday, though Nadi will not be in action until Tuesday when they encounter the New Zealanders at Churchill Park in Lautoka at 4pm.
“It all depends on the first game which we play against Auckland City,” the experienced goalkeeper said.
“We will take each game as it comes and when we have the chances we have to utilise them.”
Nadi has been seeded in a tough group alongside five-time champions Auckland City, Amicale FC of Vanuatu and Tahiti champions AS Dragon.
Auckland City are the defending champions and Amicale played in the semi-final stage last year while Dragon were unlucky to miss out on a spot in those semi-finals by just one point.
Only the three group winners, along with a best-placed runner-up, will qualify for a home and away semi-final.
Nadi has been preparing well under the guidance of coach Kamal Swamy who has been working overtime to see that no stones are left unturned in their bid for regional club supremacy.
“Preparations have been going well and we are looking forward to the Champions League. This is a challenging event and every team that we will play against will be tough,” Mateinaqara said.
“My humble request is for the fans to come out in numbers and support the team. We need your prayers and support.”
Ba kicks off their campaign on the opening day as they host AS Magenta at 4pm at their home ground of Govind Park.
