Like Hoyle, the defender is currently playing in the Australian W-League where her side Sydney FC is sitting in second place, two points off the top with a game in hand.
Green says joining Notts County Ladies is an exciting step forward in her career.
“I’ve heard really good things about Rick Passmore, and seeing the signings that have already been made it’s very exciting,” she says.
“I’m joining a team, which is really important for me, a team that play together and I’ve only heard good things about Notts County. I’m really excited to get going.”
Having had friends play in the league in the past, Green says she has always kept a close eye on what’s been happening.
“It’s great to now have the opportunity to play in England for Notts County, hopefully we can have a very successful season.”
Green first appeared for New Zealand as a 17-year-old in the U-20 squad turning out at the 2008 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Two years later she headed to the next U-20 World Cup, this time as captain.
She made her senior international debut as a substitute against China on 14 November 2006 and has gone on to feature in two Olympics, Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.
The 23-year-old has made 56 appearances in total for the Football Ferns so far and has seven international goals to her name.
Green will join up with the rest of the Notts County Ladies squad, including Hoyle, at the end of the W-League and after the Cyprus Cup in mid-March.
