Purchased through the FIFA Performance Programme it was apt that Oceania FIFA Development Officer Glenn Turner was on hand to do the official handover on Monday.
VFF president Lambert Maltock was delighted to recieve the keys on the Northern Region Academy’s behalf, with the transport certain to provide further opportunities for locals to get involved in football.
“On behalf of the Vanuatu Football Federation executive, staff, football players and fans I would like to thank OFC adn FIFA for this brand new bus and I’m sure the VFF staff in Luganville will be very happy to see it,” Maltock shared.
“Transporting kids for football training is always a big problem in the islands and today the new wheels will give the kids in Luganville something to smile about.”
The Northern Region Academy is not the only association that will benefit from a vehicle, with Penama Football Association (PFA) aslo receiving a new truck from VFF this week.
