AUCKLAND – The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Executive Committee will convene in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, from 13 – 15 February 2009.
The main issues on the agenda relate to OFC Competitions. As such, the newly-formed OFC Competitions Committee will present their report and recommendations of meetings convened in December 2008 for approval by the OFC Executive Committee.
Also, the OFC Executive Committee will discuss a potential bid for hosting the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2011 and 2013 and be updated on the status of preparations for the XIV South Pacific Games to be held in New Caledonia in 2011.
The OFC Executive Committee will discuss the situation in Samoa and the Normalisation Committee process and other Member Association matters. A report on the OFC Pacific Youth and Sports Conference scheduled to be held in Auckland, New Zealand in 2010 will be tabled as well as various sports-political matters.
Finally, the members of the Executive Committee will receive information and updates on co-operation agreements with OFC and Football Federation Australia, the German Embassy, PNGFA and the European Union, OFC and Special Olympics.
The Win in Oceania with Oceania (WIO) Regulations will be tabled for approval.
Details of a new organizational structure for OFC will also be announced.
