The objective is for the team to gain experience and further exposure to different football environments as they continue their development.
Assistant coach Milan Miric says it will be the perfect stepping stone for the nine new players included, to prove themselves at this high level of intensity.
“The team will be in the Philippines for five days overall and the goal is to give an opportunity to some of the players, who were not part of the Singapore trip, to progress mentally and tactically,” Miric says.
“It will be exposure for the boys to play in East Asia, and we are looking forward to further friendlies in October and December before the National Soccer League kicks off.”
