Suva earned a 1-0 victory over Ba in the Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League on Sunday to maintain their lead at the top of the standings.
The capital-based side now have 21 points – a perfect score after seven matches played.
The loss sees the Men in Black stuck to second place with 16 points.
Both sides struggled in the Fiji FACT and were eyeing a victory to provide a much needed confidence boost.
A lackluster first half was followed by an entertaining second period, much to the delight of fans at ANZ Stadium.
Suva goalkeeper Emori Ragata was called upon to make some crucial saves to deny Ba before former Fiji U-20 international Sakaraia Naisua nailed the match winner past Ba gloveman Epeli Codro.
In other league results, Fiji FACT champions Nadi lost to 3-1 to Rewa at Price Charles Park. Lautoka beat Labasa 201 and Navua drew 0-0 with Nadroga.
