Fiji Football Association (FFA) technical director Saiyad Ali says the squad is likely to be given a trim after the camp.
“Things are expected to toughen up now. The girls have had enough time to prepare and after this camp we will drop the players who have not improved,” he says.
“The OFC Women’s Nations Cup is in September and we will shortly have to finalise our side.”

Newly-appointed coach Ramesh Sharma is set to take charge of the team, with his first goals being the Nations Cup in Auckland and the 2011 Pacific Games in New Caledonia.

“He will take over the team now and will be working with the girls during this camp,” Ali says. “We have had two training camps already and the hopes are high for the girls to get better every time.”
