Panama, hosts of the CONCACAF qualifiers, and Canada were the first teams to secure their tickets to UAE 2013 after both sides won their respective quarter-finals 4-2.
Panama had to come from behind to overcome Trinidad and Tobago in their quarter-final. Trinidad opened the scoring but Panama responded in kind, with Jesus Araya, Luis Zuniga and Ismael Diaz putting the result beyond doubt in spite of a late consolation.
They will be appearing at only their second FIFA U-17 World Cup after making their inaugural appearance at the finals in Mexico in 2011.
The Canucks also had to come from behind after Jamaica opened the scoring through Khallil Stewart after just five minute. Canada responded through Andrew Gordon , but Stewart put his side ahead once ore just before the interval. Canada then went on to hit three goals without reply, with Hanson Boakai, Gordon and Jordan Hamilton all grabbing goals in the second half.
Canada are no strangers to the FIFA U-17 World Cup and will be making their sixth appearance at UAE 2013.
Honduras qualified for just their third U-17 World Cup after defeating the United States of America 3-1 to deny the USA a berth at the U-17 tournament for the first time.
The score was level at 1-1 at half-time with Alberth Elis and Kevin Alvarez extending the margin to 3-1 for Honduras to go through to the semi-final.
USA is the only country to have participated in every U-17 World Cup, having qualified a record 14 times.
In the late match, a goal in either half saw Mexico earn a hard-fought 2-0 win over Guatemala. The 2005 and 2011 world champions will now feature on the world stage for the eleventh time.
