www.facebook.com/JustPlayOFC is the new online home for Just Play where participants, particularly teachers, volunteers and parents, can share ideas and get updates on what is happening around the region.
It is the latest addition to OFC’s list of social media platforms including:

Just Play is a unique grassroots initiative that promotes physical activity for primary-aged children while encouraging community involvement and healthy living.
Developed by the OFC social responsibility and technical departments, Just Play was launched in Tonga in October 2009 and has since been introduced in Vanuatu, Tahiti, Solomon Islands, Cook Islands, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Auckland, New Zealand.
OFC Head of Social Responsibility Franck Castillo, who leads the project, says it is an ideal time to launch the page.
“Rolling out Just Play across the region has been a huge project and with just two countries to go – American Samoa and New Caledonia – we think it is a good time to launch our Facebook page,” says Castillo.
“The idea for the page is to be fun and interactive. It will be a platform for people to tell their stories, to find out more information and to see how OFC has worked with its partners to make the programme a success.”
Just Play managers, who have recently been employed in each country, will help to regularly update the page with news, photos and videos.
OFC continues to work closely with UEFA, the Government of Australia – through its agencies the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) – and Football Federation Australia (FFA) to roll out Just Play across the Pacific. The Australian Government has shown its support to the project by contributing AU$4million.
OFC is also currently working in New Zealand with Special Olympics (NZ) on a Just Play programme for people with mental disabilities.
