Poida says the two day break his side has enjoyed has been vital to the team’s preparations for a match he believes will be much tougher than their opener.
“Ba is playing at their home ground and will be tougher than Hekari,” he says.
“I think Ba did really well on the first day at their home ground. Physically they are strong in every challenge and we will need to address that.
The former international believes his players have traits which can work to their advantage against the towering Ba side.
“I think we can play good football against Ba with small players like I have in my team,” he says.
“We are quick, the boys are very skilful and I think they can handle Ba.”
Tafea will play Ba in this afternoon’s opening match at 1pm (local) in Govind Park, Ba. Fellow Group C sides AS Magenta and Hekari United will follow at 4pm (local) with both sides searching for their first victory.
